چکیده

In this paper, the authors generate the Stirling numbers of third kind to find formula for the sum of several types of product of polynomials and polynomial factorials using inverse of the generalized difference operator of nth kind in the field of numerical analysis. Suitable examples are provided to illustrate the main results. Mathematics Subject Classification: 39A10, 39A11, 39A13

Stirling Numbers and Generalized Zagreb Indices

We show how generalized Zagreb indices $M_1^k(G)$ can be computed by using a simple graph polynomial and Stirling numbers of the second kind. In that way we explain and clarify the meaning of a triangle of numbers used to establish the same result in an earlier reference.

Modified degenerate Carlitz's $q$-bernoulli polynomials and numbers with weight ($alpha ,beta $)

The main goal of the present paper is to construct some families of the Carlitz's $q$-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers. We firstly introduce the modified Carlitz's $q$-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers with weight ($_{p}$. We then define the modified degenerate Carlitz's $q$-Bernoulli polynomials and numbers with weight ($alpha ,beta $) and obtain some recurrence relations and other identities...

The D-Stirling Numbers

Abstract In this paper, we introduce a kind of combinatorial numbers, D − Stirling numbers, and its special cases. An exponential generating function of the D − Stirling numbers is given. We also present recurrence relations, monotonicity, and limiting properties of the D−Stirling numbers. Applications to statistical probability function estimation and restricted occupancy theory are provided. ...

Rook Theory, Generalized Stirling Numbers and (p, q)-Analogues

In this paper, we define two natural (p, q)-analogues of the generalized Stirling numbers of the first and second kind S(α, β, r) and S(α, β, r) as introduced by Hsu and Shiue [17]. We show that in the case where β = 0 and α and r are nonnegative integers both of our (p, q)-analogues have natural interpretations in terms of rook theory and derive a number of generating functions for them. We al...

Convolution Properties of the Generalized Stirling Numbers and the Jacobi-Stirling Numbers of the First Kind

In this paper, we establish several properties of the unified generalized Stirling numbers of the first kind, and the Jacobi-Stirling numbers of the first kind, by means of the convolution principle of sequences. Obtained results include generalized Vandermonde convolution for the unified generalized Stirling numbers of the first kind, triangular recurrence relation for general Stirling-type nu...
